California artisan craft fair featuring local artisans
There is an incredible amount of talent in the Central Valley and we are constantly delighted to discover and feature new and unique crafts.

We believe that there are plenty of venues for vendors of all types, but few that offer handcrafts exclusively. Especially in our area. Our goal is to offer our community a handcraft-only event that focuses on unique, high-quality products that cannot be found in a mass market.

Over seventy vendors displayed a wide variety of crafts including jewelry, handmade soaps and candles, knitted and crocheted accessories, pet accessories, tasty treats, and paintings at our Spring event. You never know what new delights you'll discover each year!

We are an informal but active Guild that welcomes new and experienced spinners, as well as those who want to learn to spin. Meetings are Aug. - Nov., and Jan. - April.

May is a dye day [different date every year]. June is devoted to our Annual Spinning Day at Retzlaff Winery in Livermore, and a July gathering is sporadic.

Monthly meeting are generally the last Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. But because we meet in a public library room, there can be a library event conflict, so dates are subject to change.

In addition to the monthly meetings, we meet every Monday afternoon at members homes for spinning and tea. A great way to get help for beginners.

Celebrating Natural Colored Animals and their Fibers
Take part in one of the most unique events in the country celebrating natural colored animals and their fiber.

This year marks a new era at the 2018 Black Sheep Gathering, the 44th annual Gathering will be moving 45 miles north to Linn County Expo Center in Albany Oregon. Linn County Expo Center offered us a beautiful new facility

The Black Sheep Gathering is an annual event during which participants exchange their knowledge of an appreciation for handcraft fibers and the animals that produce them.

The Black Sheep Gathering strives to provide an environment dedicated to: education, cooperation and participation, an atmosphere of fellowship and fun, and celebrating natural colored animals and their fiber.
